Produk bebek matik Yamaha bakal kembali dihadirkan di pasar motor Indonesia dengan sistem YCAT (Yamaha compact Automatic transmission) atau sosok real bebek dengan Transmisi Matic/CVT.

Sementara menurut berita yang kini tengah beredar di beberapa situs internet menyatakan, bahwa Yamaha Lexam sendiri sudah dipajang di Vietnam semenjak bulan Oktober 2009 yang lalu.

Yoshiteru Takashi sebagai mantan Presiden Director PT Yamaha Motor Kencana Indonesia (YMKI) telah memberikan bocaran kepada media tentang Motor Yamaha Lexam. Yoshiteru juga menyampaikan rasa optimismenya pada bebek matik Yamaha ini.

Pria ramah yang mulai bulan depan menjabat Managing Director Motorcycle Operation di Yamaha Motor Coorporation sekaligus menjadi chairman Yamaha Indonesia Group ini membocorkan kemunculan Yamaha Lexam di tanah air.

Motor sport baru Yamaha, Byson, menurut Takahashi akan segera mereka keluarkan antara bulan Mei atau Juni 2010 ini.

Byson merupakan motor sport terbaru Yamaha yang isu kedatangannya sudah beredar luas sejak tahun lalu.

Motor ini akan menggunakan basis yang sama dengan yang digunakan oleh saudaranya V-ixion namun dengan menggendong mesin 153 cc dan masih menggunakan karburator di sistem pengabutannya.

Di pasaran motor tanah air, Byson akan bersaing ketat dengan rival Yamaha, Honda, yang akan mengeluarkan wujud baru dari Mega Pro.

Honda Thaliand, (16/02) menghadirkan motor model skuter terbaru dikelas tipe-C bertransmisi otomatis.Model yang menyandang nama Wave 110i AT ini akan di jual mulai bulan maret mendatang untuk pasar Asia Pasifik.

Motor bebek matik yang hadir di Thailand melalui A.P Honda Co.,Ltd. Rekanan perusahaan Honda Thailand mengatakan Wave110i AT merupakan skuter yang sangat ekonomis dan cocok untuk lalu lintas perkotaan. Teknologi baru Honda turut disuntukkan pada skuter ini, yakni transmisi otomatis CV-Matic.

Teknologi CV-Matic ini memiliki ketahanan tinggi dan mampu menekan biaya operasional. Tak hanya itu, pergerakannya pun halus sehingga mampu meningkatkan kenyamanan pengendara untuk perjalanan jarak jauh. Rencananya, selain di pasarkan di Thailand, Wave110i AT akan masuk ke Vietnam dan beberapa negara Asean, termasuk Indonesia.

CV-Matic juga dibekali firut sistem pendingin pada sabuk penggerak (Drive belt). Dibanding teknologi serupa yang telah ada, CV-Matic berdimensi lebih kecil dan ringan dengan jarak antara drive pulley yang pendek. Selain berdaya tahan tinggi, Honda mengklaim teknologi temuannya bisa mengefektifkan penggunaan bahan bakar.

Skuter Wave110i AT ini dibadrol seharga 44.900 baht atau sekitar Rp 12,5 juta perak. Dan ditargetkan penjualannya menembus angka 50.000 unit per tahun.

Dalam news release yang dikeluarkan Honda, mengatakan bahwa pasar motor matik atau skuter di Thailand bisa menmbus angka 700.000 unit. Karena itu, Honda akan lebih fokus pada pengembangan transmisi otomatis yang ditanam pada Wave 110i AT.

Selain itu, Honda Thailand akan mempercepat peluncuran skuter yang mengadopsi teknologi terbaru programmed fuel injection system (PGM-FI).
